Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Rochester Corps seeks a Social Services Coordinator to provide direct support and case management for Pathway of Hope participants. The role includes recruiting for POH and promoting services in the community, with a 40-hour work week and a wage of $23 to $24.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate participant records, conducting holistic case management, assisting with events, and promoting The Salvation Army and POH goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant field preferred. In lieu of degree, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board.
• Previous social services experience required.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or ability to gain certification within 90 days of employment (the organization will pay for the certification).
• Flexible interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of honor in dealing with confidential information.
• Works with integrity, valuing honesty, and diligence.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide participants with direct support and assistance (e.g., housing assessments, Heatshare, vouchers, financial assistance).
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information in casefiles and through database entry and internal reporting.
• Conduct long-term strength-based, person-centered, holistic case management to POH participants.
• Assist with seasonal and special events.
• Recruit qualifying participants for POH and promote social services and corps programs with participants and throughout the community.
• Occasionally assist with food preparation and meal service.
• Engage in internal and external activities to promote and further The Salvation Army and POH goals and objectives.
