Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Rochester Corps is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to provide direct assistance to Pathway of Hope (POH) participants and recruit for POH programs. The role includes housing assessments, Heatshare and financial vouchers, and meticulous case-file maintenance.

Responsibilities cover holistic, strength-based case management, outreach to promote services, and occasional event support. Working hours are standard with some driving as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant field preferred.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board.
• Previous social services experience required.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or ability to gain certification within 90 days of employment (organization will pay).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and housing assessments for participants.
• Maintain participant information in case files and databases.
• Conduct long-term strength-based, person-centered case management for POH participants.
• Recruit POH participants and promote social services in the community.
• Assist with events and routine duties.
• May occasionally drive locally to support the mission.
