Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Rochester Corps is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to provide direct support and a full range of case management services for Pathway of Hope participants. The role includes recruiting participants, maintaining case files, and promoting The Salvation Army programs within the community.

Must have an associate degree or equivalent experience, and may require licensing if degree is in social work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board.
• Previous social services experience required.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or able to gain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance (housing assessments, Heatshare, vouchers, financial aid).
• Maintain up-to-date participant information in casefiles and databases.
• Conduct long-term strength-based, person-centered case management to POH participants.
• Recruit qualifying participants for POH and promote services within the community.
• Assist with seasonal and special events.
• May drive agency vehicle locally if MVR check cleared.
