Capital Choice Pathology Lab in Silver Spring, MD, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Pathology Support Tech Supervisor to lead operations across multiple sites. This role requires oversight of staffing, schedules, and performance in a centralized pathology environment.

The supervisor will drive process improvements, ensure SOP compliance, and collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives while supporting billing and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules, staffing models, assignments, and coverage to meet operational needs across multiple locations; supervise staff and coordinate with HR.
• Provide coverage and float between sites to maintain workflow continuity and timely support.
• Support billing workflows, including case auditing and use of QuickBooks for operations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and service expansion.
• Monitor workflow metrics, turnaround times, and service issues to drive performance improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and implement SOPs ensuring CAP, safety, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or equivalent years of experience.
