Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. seeks a Supervisor - Pathology in Lanham, MD to lead Core Laboratory operations, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. You will supervise staff, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as a technical resource across the department.

Responsibilities include quality control, SOP updates, instrument maintenance, and collaboration with management to meet financial and operational targets. A Bachelor's degree and ASCP certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with course work sufficient to meet the ASCP Board of Certification requirements.
• Two years of experience in an acute care facility in a similar role preferred.
• MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) categorical or specialist (ASCP), MT(HEW), or MT(AMT); preferred OR MLT(ASCP) or HT(ASCP) with seven years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to laboratory staff, schedule tasks, and participate in performance evaluations.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure compliance with CAP, AABB, CLIA, and other regulatory standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment; coordinate maintenance and upgrades.
• Monitor supplies and inventory, place orders, and manage costs.
• Ensure safety protocols and training; investigate incidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Record and report complex test results accurately and provide technical guidance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in quality improvement projects.
• Manage multiple projects with timelines and budgets.
