Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Lab Assistant II to support accessioning specimens, prepare slide trays and file blocks and slides in a fast-paced histology lab.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 2pm–10:30pm, with on-the-job training and a clear career ladder toward Lab Technician and Histotechnician roles; you will help maintain lab organization, safety and HIPAA/OSHA compliance, while collaborating with pathologists.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required.
• Previous lab experience preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Accession specimens and manage lab orders in LIS.
• Prepare slide trays and tissue blocks.
• File slides and tissue blocks.
• Maintain lab organization and equipment.
• Assist with QC and compliance training.
