Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Lab Assistant II to support accessioning specimens, prepare slide trays and file blocks and slides in a fast-paced histology lab.
Schedule is Mon–Fri, 2pm–10:30pm, with on-the-job training and a clear career ladder toward Lab Technician and Histotechnician roles; you will help maintain lab organization, safety and HIPAA/OSHA compliance, while collaborating with pathologists.
The Lab Assistant II is responsible for accessioning specimens, preparing slide trays, filing of blocks and slides, and assisting with all aspects of lab organization and maintenance. Lab Assistant II employees have the educational requirements to pursue the Histotech HT/L certification program. This position offers potential for immediate and longer term career ladder opportunities supported by on-the-job training with corresponding increases in compensation.
