Job summary

Forefront Dermatology seeks a Lab Assistant II to accession specimens, prepare slides, and support overall lab operations. On-the-job training will drive growth toward HT/L certification with potential pay increases as you advance.

The role offers 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) and more. Experience in a clinical lab is a plus; education in science is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field is required/preferred.
• Previous lab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accession specimens and release orders in the LIS.
• File slides and tissue blocks; prepare slide trays.
• Prepare alcohol solutions and manage staining reagents; handle disposal.
• Embed tissue samples and prepare paraffin blocks for microtome cutting.
• Prepare specimens for grossing; assist with slide preparation and delivery to pathologists.
• Maintain lab equipment, record temperatures, stock supplies; follow QC procedures.
• Complete required compliance training and perform related tasks.
