Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Chicago is seeking a floater to support several attorneys and case staff on rotation. This role trains for an eventual move to a Case Manager position, providing exposure to the full lifecycle of cases and client matters.

Compensation is $23 per hour with growth opportunities. Remote and/or hybrid work are not available; the position emphasizes on-site collaboration within our Chicago office and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Insurance Adjuster, or similar role, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask, prioritize and maintain great attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with multiple employees across the organization.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Case Managers.
• Order medical records from providers.
• Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers under attorney supervision.
• Investigate the facts of cases.
• Negotiate deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers.
• Prepare documents and correspondence to reach settlements.
