Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP seeks an IP Patent Prosecution Supervisor to lead the Patent Support Unit in Washington, DC. You will oversee docket management, supervise patent prosecution specialists, and coordinate with attorneys and patent agents to ensure high-quality filings with USPTO, WIPO, and foreign offices.

The role requires at least 10 years of patent experience with 3+ years in supervision, strong leadership, and excellent written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years patent experience, with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong proofreading and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patent prosecution operations and staff workflow; supervise and develop team.
• Prepare and file patent documents with USPTO, WIPO, and foreign offices.
• Coordinate with attorneys and patent agents; manage training and performance reviews.
