Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke seeks a senior Paralegal with deep patent prosecution experience to support our Intellectual Property Practice Group in Atlanta. You will manage complex US, PCT and international filings, maintain dockets, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and patent office staff.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of progressive patent prosecution experience. A collaborative, detail‑oriented approach and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive patent prosecution experience.
• Proficiency with US, PCT and international patent processes and filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file patent applications, pre-grant filings and related documents with USPTO, PCT and foreign offices.
• Manage IDS data and recordations of assignments and name changes in the US and internationally.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain docket reports; communicate with attorneys, clients and staff.
• Track billable and non-billable time per firm policy; operate within established procedures.
• Provide back-up support and training to other team members as needed.
• Maintain client relations and document management systems for IP matters.
