Job summary

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong critical thinking, and basic CS concepts. Travel up to 25% may be required, and the role requires eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 0–2 years experience; 2 years additional work experience may substitute the degree.
• Critical thinking is vital to this role and required.
• Understanding of technical concepts and CS background; databases, AI, information security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine classifications in US and international patent systems using knowledge, research and automated tools.
• Analyze and prepare written reports for patent attorneys and IP industry colleagues.
• Use Microsoft Office Word and Excel and operate in a production-based environment.
• Learn patent classification, search and examination processes and assign USPC/CPC codes.
