Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Patent Classifier to join the Patent Search and Innovation Intelligence Services Team in the United States. You will determine CPC and USPC classifications through research and automated tools, applying technical knowledge to a variety of technologies.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in CS/EE and have some research experience. The role offers permanent, full-time work with a salary in the posted range and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Familiarity with CPC/US classifications is advantageous.
• Experience with research through internships, work, or volunteering.
• Authorized to work in the United States and reside in the US for the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Master the patent classification process.
• Assign classifications per CPC rules and definitions.
• Classify applications related to technologies.
• Continuously expand knowledge into new technologies.
• Work closely with team members in a collaborative environment.
