Who you are:
You should be a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent who, like us, embraces a novel approach and understands that legal problems are business problems. In particular, we are looking for Patent Practitioners with solid science or engineering experience as well as IP licensing experience.
You should have a portable book of business of at least $450K or the demonstrated ability of previously building at least that size of a book of business. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for growing your practice nationwide, as our compensation system is tied to performance (combined working, managing, and origination can reach 60% of the attorney's share of billings; example compensation ranges below assume equivalent billings of 1200-1800 collected billable hours without and with managing and origination credit). Note the word "equivalent", we normally bill on a fixed-price basis. Accordingly, you have a choice on how hard you want to work.
You obviously have experience in patent law, strong client origination and management skills, a desire to grow your career, and a willingness to manage valuable IP portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
