The ideal candidate has a scientific background (EE/CS/Physics) and 2+ years of patent experience, with strong writing and analytical skills. Applicants should submit transcripts and resume for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in EE, CE, CS or Physics with excellent academic record.
• 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Experience in data science, machine learning, AI, wireless, sensors, semiconductors, IoT, optics or related fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technology areas.
• Identify inventions through technical discussions with inventors.
• Perform novelty and clearance searches to delineate inventions from existing technologies.
• Draft comprehensive patent applications and negotiate the scope of patent rights with the USPTO.
• Prepare reports and support documentation for patent portfolio management.
