Job summary
Kingfisher Recruiting is sourcing a Patent Agent to join a leading AmLaw 50 IP practice in a hybrid role across multiple U.S. locations.
The patent agent will collaborate with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technologies, conduct novelty searches, and support patent portfolio management. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with 2+ years of patent experience, and possess strong
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with excellent academic record.
- 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to technical detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications with inventors and attorneys in emerging technology areas.
- Identify inventions through technical discussions with inventors.
- Perform novelty and clearance searches to delineate inventions.
- Draft comprehensive patent applications and negotiate patent claims with the USPTO.
- Prepare reports and documentation for patent portfolio management.
