Job summary

East West Hospitality is hiring a Pastry Cook for The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon, CO. This on-site position offers a 5:30 AM–1:30 PM schedule, full-time seasonal employment, and a $22/hour pay rate.

You’ll craft pastries for both Market and main restaurant, with opportunities to learn and sharpen techniques. Ideal candidates have pastry skills and prior kitchen experience, can multitask, and work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
• Strong pastry skills and accurate measurements.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastry items according to recipes, production standards, and Chef direction.
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and attention to detail throughout production.
• Learn and apply new pastry techniques while safely operating kitchen equipment.
• Participate in tastings and provide feedback as directed by the Chef.
• Keep ingredients, tools, and the pastry workspace fully stocked, organized, and ready for production.
• Follow all culinary, pastry, food safety, and sanitation standards.

You'll work in a high-energy culinary environment creating pastry offerings for both the Market and main restaurant, with opportunities to sharpen your skills, learn new techniques, and contribute to a team that takes its food seriously. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, along with strong pastry skills, accurate product measurements, and the ability to multitask. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, work well under pressure, and possess strong organizational, time management, and delegation skills. Good communication - both written and verbal is essential, and the role may require lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing up to 50 pounds.
