Job summary

The Country Club of Birmingham is seeking a Part-time Pastry Prep team member in Birmingham, AL. You will prepare pastries daily in line with club recipes and standards, while maintaining clean prep stations and following health and safety guidelines.

Weekend availability is preferred. You will work under the Pastry Chef to ensure portions, presentation, and quality meet club expectations and standards.

Qualifications

• Food safety and hygiene familiarity required.
• Ability to follow club recipes and standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepares pastries in accordance with club recipes and standards.
• Makes pastries according to club recipes and standards.
• Cleans equipment and ensures that walk-ins are clean and neat.
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down pastry prep station.
• Identifies products needed and requisitions them.
• Notifies Pastry Chef in advance of product shortages.
• Maintains safety and security in work area.
• Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
• Adheres to state and local health and safety standards.
• Maintains the highest sanitary standards.
• Ensures that work station and equipment are clean and sanitary.
• Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products.
• Ensures that food products are used before they spoil.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef.
• Prepares and serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
