Job summary

Claremont Resort & Club in Berkeley, CA is seeking a line cook to prepare food to specification, manage prep ahead of service, and help control costs while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. You will follow recipes, date and rotate perishables, and assist with maintaining a well-stocked kitchen for service.

The role requires the ability to work with servers, follow HEI standards, and commute to a Bay Area kitchen.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery and tools.
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
• Clear verbal and written communication with team and servers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items ahead of time and rotate perishables.
• Check inventory pars and note shortages for preparation.
• Set up work area and equipment per HEI standards.
• Assist in cost control and minimizing waste.
• Maintain and clean kitchen equipment and stations.
