Job summary

Claremont Resort & Club, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a line cook to prepare high-quality dishes, follow recipes, and help manage buffet stock. You will date and rotate perishables, maintain temperatures, and support cost control efforts.

The role requires hotel kitchen experience, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and reliable attendance. This is a full-time position based at our Berkeley-area property.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication with team and servers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over- or under- prepping.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars, plan preparation, and keep buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with date and cover perishables.
• Assist in cost control, waste reduction, and adherence to HEI standards.
