Job summary

Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to support our culinary vision in all desserts and baking. You will plan, prep, and produce pastries, breads, ice creams, and sorbets to high standards while following established recipes.

The role requires strong pastry skills, at least 2 years in a high-volume setting, and flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. A culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred; candidates must stand for long periods and lift up to

Qualifications

Refined verbal communication skills.
At least 2 years of pastry experience in high-volume setting preferred.
Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
Ability to perform basic pastry and baking skills.
Ability to follow recipes with attention to detail.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Maricopa County Food Handlers License.
Must be available weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

Support the resort’s culinary vision in desserts and baking.
Plan, prep, set up and prepare pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams and sorbets.
Garnish and finish desserts to set times; maintain quality according to standards.
Work in a clean, organized manner and maintain professional conduct.
Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
