Job summary

Cece's Roland Park is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our culinary team, crafting desserts, breads, pastries and ice creams for our main dining area at Cece's Roland Park and the adjacent Cece's Kitchen. You will master house-made pastas and artisanal pizzas as part of a diverse pastry program.

You will manage pastry production, inventory, safety and plating, collaborating with other kitchen stations and occasionally interacting with guests.

Qualifications

• One year of fast-paced kitchen line experience.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Ability to read recipes, control portions and present dishes.
• Good communication with cooks, servers and supervisors.
• Reading and writing abilities used in scheduling and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Daily production of all dessert components including breads, pastries, and ice creams.
• Expedite pastry service and run pastry station during dinner service.
• Manage production schedule for all dessert items.
• Handle pastry inventory, receiving and ordering ingredients.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Follow recipes and maintain plating standards.
• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook daily operations in a timely manner.
• Restock items and assist with inventory as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
