Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a line cook at Claremont Resort & Club in Berkeley. You will prepare quality dishes to recipe standards, start items ahead of service, rotate perishables, and monitor inventory while maintaining food-cost controls.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start prepped items and manage production to meet needs.
• Rotate perishables and date items per standards.
• Check pars for shift use and determine prep needs.
• Note out-of-stock items and assist in buffet stocking.
• Ensure proper storage of unused items and cover perishables.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryer, broiler, stove, etc.).
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
