Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Cook to join our team at Hacienda Del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time, hourly position. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our guests. Your creative skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience at our resort.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $17 to $19 per hour, depending on experience plus tips.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and prepare a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards set by the Pastry Chef
2. Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner
3. Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all pastries and desserts meet our high standards
4. Maintain a clean and organized pastry station and kitchen area
5. Order and maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
6. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute special dessert menus for events and weddings
7. Assist in training and mentoring new pastry staff members

Requirements:

1. Previous pastry cooking experience in a professional kitchen
2. Knowledge of various pastry techniques and methods
3. Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
4. Creativity and attention to detail for plating and presentation
5. Strong time management and multitasking skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
7. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
8. Culinary education or training is a plus
