As a Cook for Patient Services at Banner University Medical Center Tucson Campus, you will use your experience and joy of cooking while working in a large, fast-paced, high production environment. This is a full-time position with a schedule generally from 5 am to 1:30 pm, with days off usually on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weekends are required in this role. Plus, you will enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night shift differential for hours after 7 pm if applicable.

This position produces all required food items based on information obtained from production sheets, catering requests, prep sheets, and other approved sources. It involves planning and conducting daily work to meet food production and service time requirements.
Requires knowledge and abilities in institutional food production, typically gained with over one year of experience in production cooking. Must follow policies, understand instructions, communicate effectively, perform basic math, and learn food handling regulations. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within limited time frames are essential. Must follow safety protocols and pass certification tests as required.
Food handlers' card is required within 30 days of hire for Banner Staffing Services team members, except in Tucson and Colorado where it is not required. Must be 18 or older to operate power-driven bakery and meat processing machines. Employees at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or Olive Branch Senior Center must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and maintain it during employment.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Additional related education or experience is preferred.
