Job summary

Raley's is seeking a Pastry Chef to assist in prepared foods, work with the Executive Chef to achieve sales and customer service goals, and uphold food safety standards. The role includes production, merchandising, and helping with menu development to expand AJ's exclusive pastries.

You will assist in catering menu production, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong customer service and cash handling skills are required for a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Production and merchandising of pastries and related items.
• Assist with menu planning and development of AJ's exclusive pastries and expand offerings in the Boulangeries.
• Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
• Maintain open communication with kitchen and department management.
• Collaborate with Catering Director and Executive Chef on menu planning for catering profitability and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in preparation area.
• Operate cash register and handle cash, checks, credit cards and other tender per policy.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
