Raley's is seeking an Assistant Bakery Team Lead to deliver exceptional customer service and guide a bakery team to provide the freshest, highest quality baked goods. This role emphasizes product expertise, safe operations, and a focus on department goals.

You will oversee daily bakery operations, train staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with store leadership to meet sales and merchandising objectives while maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Directing bakery department personnel, meeting department’s goals and objectives
• Managing bakery operations while the bakery team lead is not on duty
• Communicating directly with the bakery team lead, store director and bakery specialist
• Ordering the supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
• Merchandising bakery goods in accordance with bakery merchandising standards
• Execute and support all sales and merchandising initiatives
• Serving as the leader of the department, coach, evaluator and trainer for the team
• Ensuring department and team compliance with heath department and weights and measures requirements
• Understanding product pricing, signage, and shelf tagging
• Keeping a clean, neat and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas
• Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery products
• Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction
• All other related duties as assigned
