Job summary

Villanova University in Villanova, PA is seeking a Passenger Vehicle Driver to ensure safe, reliable transportation for faculty, staff, and students. The role is full-time/9-months with hourly pay and requires a minimum of five years driving experience, a valid license, and strong customer service.

You will operate shuttle and ADA vehicles, assist riders, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and support campus transportation goals.

The Passenger Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of faculty, staff and students. The position ensures reliable service while delivering courteous and reliable experience. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates University Shuttle Vehicle/ ADA Vehicle on demand rides in a safe and courteous manner
• Transport passengers requiring ADA accommodation using wheelchair accessible. Assist passengers with boarding and existing as needed ensuring a positive and secure experience. Follow all university transportation policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior as assigned.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the University in a professional manner Refuel vehicle as needed
• Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ previous driving experience. Candidate must be able to meet and maintain VU driving privileges as outlined by Villanova’s Risk Management’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy for Driver’s of University Vehicles.
• Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift, maneuver, and secure mobility devices safely.
• Patience, professionalism, and sensitivity to passenger needs.
• Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)
• Valid Driver’s License
