Huntleigh USA Corporation seeks reliable, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Full-Time Passenger Services Agents at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM).

Primary duties include assisting passengers with disabilities, transporting passengers to gates and baggage claim areas, and delivering professional, compassionate customer service while ensuring safety in a busy airport environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent may be required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, writes, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to random testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with disabilities throughout the airport.
• Transport passengers to their assigned gates and from their gates to baggage claim or other designated areas.
• Safely operate wheelchairs, aisle chairs, and other passenger mobility equipment.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting aircraft when required.
• Lift and assist passengers and mobility equipment as needed.
• Provide professional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, airline personnel, airport staff, and coworkers.
• Follow all airport, airline, and Huntleigh USA safety and security procedures.
• Maintain awareness of passenger safety while navigating busy airport environments.
• Perform a significant amount of walking and physical activity throughout the airport.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Complete required documentation and follow established procedures.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned based on operational needs.

Position: Full-Time Passenger Services Agent

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour

Parking: Candidates should park in the airport parking deck.

Parking Fee: $2.00 per hour

Position Summary

Huntleigh USA is seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Full-Time Passenger Services Agents at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM).

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist passengers with disabilities throughout the airport. Employees are responsible for transporting passengers to their assigned gates and from their gates to baggage claim or other designated areas.

This position requires employees to provide professional and compassionate customer service while ensuring passenger safety and maintaining a positive airport experience.

Physical Requirements

• Lift more than 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Assist passengers with disabilities and mobility limitations.
• Safely operate wheelchairs and aisle chairs.
• Push and maneuver passengers throughout the airport.
• Bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical activities as required.
• Work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Available Shifts

• Evening Shift: 6 positions available; 3:00 PM – Close
• Mid Shift: 1 position available; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Early Morning Shift: 1 position available; 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Required Availability: Wednesday and Thursday, as applicable to assigned schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable working in a busy airport environment.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as operational needs require.
• Must successfully complete all required airport security and background screening requirements.

Work Environment

This position is performed throughout the airport and may require working in various indoor and outdoor areas. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, aircraft activity, and large crowds.

Parking Fee: $2.00 per hour
