Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Des Moines, IA is hiring a Passenger Services Agent to assist passengers and protect property while ensuring safe travel. You will perform check-in, seat assignments, document validation, boarding pass issuance, and ticket verification for domestic and international flights.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of customer service experience, are 18+, hold a High School diploma or GED, and can obtain airport SIDA and Customs seals.

Role Purpose

As a member of our passenger services team, you will beassistingpassengers and their property to arrive safely at their destinations.

What you will be doing

• Computerized check-in of passengers for international and domestic travel.
• Designateseat assignments.

• Ensure correct boarding passes are provided to each passenger for the assigned charter flight.
• Verify ticket and seat reservations.
• Match manifest to on-board count
• Assistwith various governmental agency requirements.
• Connect and disconnect Jetway/stairsas necessary.
• Announce arrivals anddeparturesas necessary.

What we are looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One (1) year Customer Service experience.
• HSD or GED
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable),
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be available and flexible toworkvariable shiftsincludingweekends and holidays.
• Work is done indoors and outdoors – must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 70 lbs.
