Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is seeking a claims professional to research, review, and adjust passenger personal injury and related claims.

You will evaluate documentation, conduct investigations, negotiate settlements, and notify insurers or clubs as incidents arise; you may testify in litigation when needed. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–4 years in a corporate claims environment are required, with strong negotiation, medical terminology and PC skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
2–4 years corporate claims experience.
Understanding of liability/Jones Act and P&I coverage.

Responsibilities

Performs in-house adjustment of passenger personal injury and other claims.
Reviews documentation, conducts research/investigation, evaluates, negotiates and resolves claims.
Notifies P&I Clubs or insurers of incidents, illnesses, accidents and injuries, claims and lawsuits.
Assists in handling claims in litigation and may testify on behalf of the company.
Establishes claim files; updates logs; prepares reports and stores medical/accident data.
Develops calendars and time frames for procedures and tasks.
Monitors trends related to losses or incidents and suggests improvements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
