Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or applicable work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with purchasing/procurement function.
• Knowledge of SAP, strong analytical skills.
• Ability to interact with vendors and other internal partners, strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement and materials management practices and principles.

Responsibilities

• Procures ingredients and packaging based on specifications and production schedules; issues purchase orders and processes invoicing.
• Manages supplier service, quality issues, and secures credits as applicable.
• Monitors materials to minimize aging and obsolescence, collaborating with production, R&D, and suppliers.
• Analyzes supplier and inventory levels, adjusting purchase orders based on plant needs.
• Resolves quality issues and obtains credits, maintaining SAP Material Masters and vendor records.
• Coordinates deliveries with transportation and warehousing, ensuring timely arrival and cost reductions.
• Advises senior leadership on risks and develops material strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
