Job summary

CJ Schwan’s, based in New York, is seeking a Materials Planner at our Brooklyn manufacturing facility to ensure material availability aligns with production needs. You will plan, procure, and track ingredients and packaging, build supplier relationships, and manage POs and invoices to support on-time delivery.

Collaborating with Purchasing, Production, and Quality teams, you will optimize inventory, monitor aging materials, and analyze demand to adjust orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 3+ years in material planning or related field.
• Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and materials planning principles.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure ingredients and packaging materials based on production schedules and forecasts.
• Create and manage purchase orders and process supplier invoices.
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve delivery or quality issues.
