Job summary

Schwan’s Company in Pasadena, TX is hiring a Materials Planner to plan, schedule, and monitor inbound materials from suppliers. You will coordinate with purchasing, production and engineering to determine material requirements and ensure efficient movement.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience, at least 3 years in purchasing/procurement, and SAP knowledge with strong analytical and vendor communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procures ingredients and packaging; issues purchase orders and processes invoicing.
• Manages supplier service, quality issues, and credits.
• Monitors materials to minimize aging and obsolescence; collaborates with production, R&D, and suppliers.
• Analyzes supplier and inventory levels; adjusts purchase orders.
• Resolves quality issues and maintains SAP Material Masters and vendor records.
• Coordinates deliveries with transportation and warehousing; ensures timely arrival and cost reductions.
• Advises senior leadership on risks and develops material strategies.
