Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC, seeks a senior IT/engineering professional to ensure reliable operation of local manufacturing applications and to improve process control systems to meet current and future needs.

You will collaborate with production and corporate teams, lead improvement initiatives, coordinate software upgrades, and coach colleagues while upholding Novo Nordisk Way and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of eight years of IT or engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, and/or packaging systems preferred.
• Knowledgeable in PAS-X, POInT, PLC, SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily with production (shop floor) & corporate as a liaison ensuring application understanding & managing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present initiatives & information accurately & explain industry jargon in a clear manner for customers.
• Coordinate & oversee software upgrades & releases to applicable systems.
• Coach & train colleagues & stakeholders in relevant areas.
• Maintain process application standards, specifications & maintenance plans.
