The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an upbeat Event Coordinator to plan and run parties and in-store events. You will guide activities, manage client needs, and coordinate with store teams to ensure a seamless experience for guests of all ages.

This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment, with opportunities to lead enhancements in event offerings and partnerships with customers.

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (children’s parties, craft classes, and other events).
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft activities; perform face painting and related tasks.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards and communicate with clients and store staff.
• Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and adjust plans based on client feedback.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and setup/breakdown for each event.
• Support store operations including merchandising and customer service goals.
