Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist in California to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers, assist store management, and promote customer service programs.

You will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and support professional customers as needed. The role includes cash handling, returns processing, and occasional deliveries, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Answer calls according to company policy, lookup parts and quote prices, and upsell related items.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, handle cash/credit, and process transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform daily image maker, planogram updates, stock and housekeeping tasks.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries) where allowed by state law.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
