Job Description
The Parts Specialist will provide exceptional service to retail and installer customers and support store management in daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote all company customer service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, and related selling initiatives.
- Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
- Complete relevant training and provide excellent phone service, including answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending products.
- Manage cash transactions accurately and process exchanges and returns per company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Assist with store operations such as stocking, planogram updates, freight receivals, and cleaning.
- Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
- Operate store equipment after training, such as brake lathes and testing devices.
- Provide in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle codes.
- Drive delivery vehicles as needed, provided driving records meet requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Familiarity with automotive parts and systems.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
