Job summary
Alamo Group is seeking a parts specialist to assist customers by processing orders and requests for quotes, researching technical information, and expediting orders with a focus on service quality and profitability.
The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, solid communication skills, and experience with ERP systems and JD Edwards. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general technical knowledge of mobile equipment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Must have good mathematical skills and business acumen.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word; experience with order processing systems and JD Edwards desirable.
- Self-driven, collaborative, respectful, and able to manage conflict.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers by processing parts orders and quotes and researching technical information.
- Answer inquiries by phone and email in a professional, timely manner.
- Expedite and track parts orders; provide pricing and availability for quotes.
- Promote special order programs to maximize sales potential.
- Maintain stock levels and support branch inventory management.
- Analyze delivery performance and support cross-department communication.
