Job summary

Ralph's Joy of Living in Northwest Ohio seeks a meticulous Parts & Service Coordinator to manage parts orders, track shipments, and file warranty claims for service calls. You will communicate with vendors and technicians to ensure accurate delivery dates and status updates for customers.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, organization, and customer-facing communication within a family-owned appliance retailer that values growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
• Strong computer skills — comfortable in email, spreadsheets, vendor web portals, and our POS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to write a clear note and make a clear phone call.
• Demonstrated attention to detail — the role lives or dies on six required fields on every service call.
• Ability to manage multiple open parts orders simultaneously without losing track.
• Comfortable working in a small-team environment where ownership of the function matters.
• Customer-service, dispatch, parts, warranty, or admin experience preferred — but not required.
• WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.

Responsibilities

• Owns the parts side of every service call.
• Order parts from vendors and track shipments.
• Record the six required fields on every order (vendor, order date, carrier, tracking, arrival, received date, invoice).
• File warranty claims.
• Tell techs and customers exactly when each part is going to arrive.
• Support service operations and coordination with warehouse.
