Job summary

George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is seeking a Parts Purchaser to support inventory management and parts procurement. The role emphasizes accuracy in receiving stock, organizing items by bin locations, and coordinating with mechanics and shop personnel.

The candidate should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, be highly organized, and communicate effectively in writing and speech. This in-person position is based at our Columbus facility and may require overtime.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling for extended periods.
• Pre-employment drug screening required (BWC Drug-Free Workplace).
• One+ years experience in Parts Purchasing or related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock into inventory and verify receipts.
• Store items by bin location and link stock to equipment models.
• Place parts orders with vendors and update stock in the system.
• Enter parts into inventory software and maintain accurate counts.
