Job summary

Kerry Brothers Truck Repair is seeking a Parts Purchaser to support our heavy-duty parts operation in the United States. You will source parts, negotiate with suppliers, and manage inventory for fast-moving repairs.

You will assist walk-in and commercial customers with over-the-counter parts sales, prepare quotes, and ensure accurate invoicing while promoting value-added solutions. The role emphasizes supplier relationships and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in parts purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably in the heavy-duty trucking or automotive industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems, purchasing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems, components, and parts cataloging, with the ability to identify and source parts for specific vehicle applications.

Responsibilities

• Parts Sourcing and Procurement: Research, evaluate, and select suppliers for heavy-duty truck parts and negotiate contracts.
• Over-the-Counter (OTC) Parts Sales: Assist customers with parts sales, prepare quotes, and process transactions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to support shop operations.
