SEW-EURODRIVE is seeking a 3rd shift assembler in South Dakota to handle all aspects of the assembly process, inventory readiness, and final testing. The role emphasizes parts pulling and efficient hand assembly of gear motors and reducers, with responsibilities across repair and shipping services.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to stand for long periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Competitive benefits start on day one, with a 10% shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to learn SEW-EURODRIVE products, including technical details.
• Good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physical activity including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives.
• Maintain parts stock between assembly lines and perform parts pulling.
• Repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and clean up.
• Visual inspection of all work and rework as necessary.
• Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.

About the Role

Basic Purpose:

This 3rd Shift position involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping /receiving and general clean up. The main focus of the position at this time is parts pulling.

Pay: $18/hr. + 10% Shift Differential

Shift: 3rd shift

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
