Job summary

Jobtailor in Albany, NY is seeking a dependable Warehouse Parts Handler to perform day-to-day yard/warehouse tasks, including locating, packaging, and preparing automotive parts for shipment.

You'll operate hand and power tools, use a forklift or order picker, manage work orders, maintain accurate records, and communicate with Sales and Dispatch while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior automotive parts knowledge preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Working knowledge of automotive parts preferred
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records
• Ability to explain and offer guidance on routine procedures
• Ability to prioritize assigned and routine tasks and handle them appropriately
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds, and sometimes up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles and wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work around hazardous situations, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels
