LKQ Corporation is seeking a Parts Handler to support day-to-day operations in the Production Yard or Warehouse, ensuring safe, efficient handling of parts in accordance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities include retrieving and packaging parts, handling paperwork, operating tools and a forklift, and coordinating with Sales and Dispatch. A high school diploma is required, with knowledge of automotive parts preferred and a positive work attitude expected.
The Parts Handler is responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Production Yard or Warehouse in accordance with current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility. This position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.
High School Diploma/GED.
A working knowledge of automotive parts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasions, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
