Lkq-Corporation is seeking a Parts Handler to perform daily yard or warehouse tasks in a safe, efficient manner. The role involves retrieving and packaging parts, handling paperwork, and pulling work orders while maintaining communication with Sales and Dispatch.
The position requires basic math, ability to use common software tools, and the capacity to work with hand and power tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, with overtime and on-site work expected.
The Parts Handler is responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Production Yard or Warehouse in accordance with current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility. This position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.
High School Diploma/GED.
A working knowledge of automotive parts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasions, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
