Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a parts assistant to manage inventory, place parts orders, and handle related paperwork. The role involves pickups from vendors, maintaining accurate counts, and coordinating with mechanics and management.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, inventory/trucking experience, a valid driver's license, and strong computer and math skills. Lifting up to ~70 lbs and ability to work under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background.
• Inventory/Parts and/or Trucking experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
• Good computer/keying skills.
• Good math skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• International parts experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Must comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct.
• Must be able to interact well with others; work independently or in a team.
• Capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs parts inventory as scheduled.
• Orders parts as needed.
• Completes related paperwork and computer entry.
• Picks up parts from vendors in company vehicle.
• Maintains accurate parts count.
• Keys and review all invoices.
• Keys repair orders.
• Maintains relationships with management, mechanics, vendors, and Corporate Fleet Services.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
