Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers. You will collect COD payments, handle customer returns, and maintain vehicle readiness with daily inspections.

You will use handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, and update mileage, while ensuring security of vehicles, equipment, and cash. Expect interactions with customers, stocking tasks, and occasional cashier duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; perform daily inspections before operating.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with other duties including stocking, merchandising, and serving customers as needed.
• May assist customers as cashier and with merchandising when business dictates.
