Job summary

Gateway Industrial Power, Inc. seeks a Parts Counter/Customer Service Associate at our Franksville, WI location. The role focuses on exemplary in-person and phone support, using product knowledge to answer questions across product lines and promote merchandising and promotions.

You will assist in warehouse tasks, coordinate with Sales and Service to fulfill orders, and help maintain displays and inventory. A HS diploma and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years' experience as a Parts Counter person or similar position preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing demands
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in person and over the phone using product knowledge
• Answer and resolve customer questions for all product lines
• Promote merchandising and product line awareness to drive sales
• Assist in warehouse and inventory counts and adjustments
• Fulfill customer orders with Sales and Service
• Support parts display merchandising and warehouse housekeeping

Job Duties:

• Provide exemplary customer service to in-person and over the phone customers
• Answer and resolve customer questions using component and product knowledge of replacement parts and systems for all product lines
• Promote all merchandising specials, advertisement, and product lines awareness to customers to drive units per sale
• Assist in warehouse and vehicle inventory counts and adjustments
• Partner with Sales and Service department to fulfill customer orders
• Assist in parts display merchandising, warehouse maintenance and department housekeeping to include shipping and receiving parts orders
• Adhere to all GTR policies and procedures for pricing, loss inventory prevention and tracking loss sales
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Experience with heavy equipment and/or refrigeration unit parts preferred but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and detail oriented

• Basic computer skills to include outlook and Microsoft office suite
• Flexibility to meet changing demands
