Job summary

Ardmore Toyota in Philadelphia is seeking a Parts Advisor to oversee the parts sales process from start to finish and provide customers with exceptional service. You will communicate with staff and customers, supply price quotes, and ensure accurate parts fulfillment.

Responsibilities include reading the parts catalog, pulling orders, maintaining stock, coordinating with service and body shop, handling payments, and notifying the parts manager of any shortages. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Parts experience in a dealership setting, Toyota preferred.
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions and proportions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Pull and fill orders from stock and conduct weekly bin checks for stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or immediate needs.
• Source out-of-stock parts from outside suppliers if necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to retail and wholesale customers
• Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
• Provide high level service to both internal and external customers
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
